A sound edge to the roof

The fascia supports the gutter at the roof edge. The soffit closes the underside of the eaves. Peeling boards, open joints and loose gutter brackets are reasons to have the whole roofline inspected, including the timber behind the visible finish.

Check the timber before covering it

New boards need a sound fixing point. The survey checks the existing roof edge and identifies the work needed before the new uPVC goes on. Your quote explains the removal, replacement and associated gutter work.

Bring the roofline and guttering together

A straight fascia and correctly positioned gutter work together to collect rainwater. We look at the eaves detail and downpipe route as part of the job. Ask for both services in one quote when the boards and gutters need replacing.

Absolutely outstanding service from start to finish. Co Operate replaced our entire roof and the finish is immaculate. The team were professional, tidy, and kept us updated throughout. Couldn't recommend them highly enough.
David H.London · June 2026New Roofs
Had a persistent leak that two other roofers couldn't fix. Co Operate found the problem within 20 minutes and sorted it the same day. Honest, fair pricing and brilliant workmanship. Will be using them for all future roofing work.
Sarah M.Sutton · May 2026Roof Repairs
Co Operate installed a full flat roof on our extension. It looks brilliant and the quality of the EPDM membrane is top notch. They even came back a week later to check everything was perfect. Really impressed with the aftercare.

What is the difference between a fascia and a soffit?

The fascia is the board facing out at the roof edge and carrying the gutter. The soffit sits underneath the overhang.

Should I replace the gutters at the same time?

An inspection establishes the condition of both. We can include guttering and roofline replacement in one written quote.

Will you inspect behind the old boards?

Yes. The timber and fixing points need checking as part of the replacement work, rather than hiding a damaged roof edge behind new boards.
